Largo Villages Community Resilience Plan

2

Helping Each Other Prepare, Respond and Recover

Emergencies can strike at any time—severe weather, flooding, traffic incidents or power cuts. The Largo Villages Community Resilience Plan is our community’s way of being ready and looking out for one another during difficult times.

🚨 What the Plan Does

Helps individuals and families prepare for emergencies

Coordinates a local response during incidents

Promotes self-resilience in our villages

Works alongside emergency services when they are stretched

Ensures vulnerable neighbours are supported

From missing pets to major weather events, our plan provides guidance, communication routes, and volunteer-led responses to help keep everyone safe and connected.

🧭 Where It Covers

The plan covers all six villages in our area:

Drumeldrie
Lower Largo
Lundin Links
New Gilston
Upper Largo
Woodside
…including the many farms and homes in between.

👥 How You Can Get Involved

Community resilience is built on people power – and that means you. If you care about your neighbours and want to be part of something meaningful, there are simple ways to help:

✅ Join our Volunteer Group
✅ Help spread messages in an emergency
✅ Be a local contact or helper
✅ Lend your skills or equipment
✅ Attend a community meeting

You don’t need special training—just common sense, a willingness to help, and a bit of time.
